Obituary of Larry Nelton Wheeler

Mr. Larry Nelton Wheeler, age 65, of Flovilla, Georgia passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2023. 

Larry was born on Wednesday, July 10, 1957, in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Edward Franklin Wheeler and the late Betty Sue Howard Wheeler. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ernest Wheeler. Larry was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Tabernacle in Porterdale, Georgia.  He had a love for going to church, listening to the preaching, and gospel singing.  Larry enjoyed going to the mountains and fishing.  He was an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves and the UGA Dawgs.

Larry is survived by his wife of 46 years, Susan E. Wheeler; children and spouses, Ronnie and Shannon Wheeler, Amanda and Chad Hunter; grandchildren, Colby Wheeler, Emma Hunter, Bryson Hunter, Corbin Wheeler; brother and sister-in-law, Ricky and Carla Wheeler; sister, Debbie Trimm Dimsdale; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mr. Larry Wheeler will be held on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Reverend Scott Suttles, Reverend Matt Edwards, and Reverend Ernest Dorries officiating. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
