Ray was a great father, mentor and all around guy. He was always there with his quick wit to put a smile on your face. I’ll miss you my friend.

I remember visiting my cousin Ray in Carolina for family reunions. Those were the only times we got together. Then Ray moved to Virginia and he became more than just my cousin from Carolina, he became one of my best friends. We all just called him “Wiley” and my friends loved him, and so did I. He was as genuine a person as you would ever meet and treated everyone the same. I regret not staying in touch with him and Marielle when they moved but I never forgot the good times we had. Rhonda and I will keep the family in our thoughts and prayers and ask God to give them peace and comfort during this time of loss. God Bless you “Wiley”, we will miss you.

I have many memories of Uncle Ray when our family would visit Grandma in Carolina. One of those memories included a main event wrestling match between Charlie and Ray. Years later Ray and Robert formed a company, B&R Lawn Service. They sponsored my softball team and with their sponsorship we were able to purchase bats, balls, uniforms, hats and participate in tournaments. Uncle Ray always had a joke or trick to play on someone. He will be remembered for making everyone smile and laugh.
