Obituary of Jimmy Edward Morrison
Mr. Jimmy Edward Morrison, age 85, of Jackson, Georgia, passed away Friday, March 29, 2024.
Jimmy was born Tuesday, December 6, 1938, in Cartwright, Tennessee to the late Jessie Thomas Morrison and Lola Della Morrison. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Ada Morrison, Gene Morrison, Morris Morrison, Henry Morrison, Avanell Retherford, Grace Morrison, Helen Rutherford, and Hazel Layne. He was a member of Abundant Life Assembly of God for 20 plus years, he loved the Lord, his wife, his family, his friends, his church, and probably more than anything besides the Lord, he loved his grandchildren and great grands. Jimmy was loved by everyone, his smile and laugh were contagious, and he was a great person to be around. He was also an avid Tennessee Volunteers fan.
Jimmy is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Jeannie Morrison; daughter, Angie Martinez; son and son-in-law, Jimmy (Osmir) Morrison; son and daughter-in-law Roger (Loretta) Morrison; daughter and son-in-law, Vicki (Richard) St. Clair; grandchildren, Brittany (Mike) Stoess, Tyler Morrison, Darren (Lexi) Morrison, Levi Tollett, Eli Tollett; great-grandchildren, Victoria, Brody, Tucker, Everlee, and Ben; sister, Mary Cagle; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services for Mr. Jimmy Morrison will be held at 11:30 A.M. on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at Abundant Life Assembly of God with Apostle Jeremiah Hosford officiating. Interment will follow at Fellowship Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Friends may visit the family on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, from 10:00 A.M. until 11:30 A.M. at Abundant Life Assembly of God.
