Obituary of John Willis Geiger

Mr. John Willis Geiger, age 60, of Perry, Georgia, passed away Monday, August 12, 2024.

 

John was born on Friday, July 24, 1964, in Marietta, Georgia. John graduated from Mercer Law School in May of 1990.  He was a private practice attorney with his father at Geiger and Geiger in Perry and had been a part-time Magistrate Judge. John was the former Houston County Solicitor and prosecutor in Bibb and Houston Counties. Most currently, he worked for the Crisp County-Cordele Circuit Public Defenders Office.  John had an infectious smile and loved to spend time with his family.  He had an incredible bond with Madeline, “his nugget”.

 

John is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer Stallings Geiger; daughter, Madeline Geiger; stepson, Jesse Pritchett; stepdaughter, Alexis Rogers; parents, Jim and Paula Geiger; sister, Nancy Greene; niece, Katie Greene; aunt, uncle, cousins, and numerous friends.

 

A memorial service for Mr. John Geiger will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, August 18, 2024, at The Assembly at Perry with Reverend Tim McLauchlin officiating. Friends may visit the family from 2:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. prior to the service at The Assembly at Perry, 100 Todd Road, Perry, Georgia 31069.
