Jackie Ronald “Country Ron” Reeves, age 59, of Jackson, GA, passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at his residence. He was born on February 19, 1954 in Griffin, GA to the late Joseph Layfette Reeves and the late Mary Elaine Faulkner Reeves. “Country Ron” was a member of the Pickers Hall of Fame. He dearly loved his family. “Country Ron” is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Linton and Nicole Reeves; grandson, J.T. Reeves; granddaughter, Kirsten Reeves; brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Sissy Reeves; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Wayne Dillon; companion, Linda Dunn. Memorial services for “Country Ron” Reeves will be held at 201 Lee Maddox Road, Jackson at 12:00 noon Saturday, November 30, 2013 with covered dish optional. In regards to Country Ron's "UNORTHADOX" lifestyle, the memorial service will be a mirror of his thoughts and way of life. A P.A. system and microphones will be provided for OPEN MIC. Please bring guitars, banjos, fiddles, etc. and pick one in memory of The Legendary, The One, The Only "Country Ron". In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the funeral home to assist the family with funeral expenses. Those who wish may sign the online guest registry at www.sherrell-westburyfh.com. Sherrell-Westbury Funeral Home, 212 East College Street, Jackson, is serving the Reeves family.
