Obituary of Jesse Fendley

Jesse James Fendley, age 77, of Jackson, GA, passed away Thursday, December 20, 2012 at Henry Medical Center. He was born August 27, 1935 in Washington, GA to the late Newton Emory Fendley and the late Fannie Mae Beasley Fendley. Jesse was a member of the Community Church of Praise and the carpenters local 225 for 30+ years. He enjoyed fishing, church, outdoors, gardening, bee keeping, and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by 4 brothers and 5 sisters. Jesse is survived by his wife, Marie G. Fendley, of Jackson; 2 daughters and son-in-law, Beverly and Spud Richards, of Jackson, Rena' Cochran, of Locust Grove; 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Nita Fendley, of Jackson, Keith and Kim Fendley, of Loganville; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 4 brothers and sisters-in-law, R.L. and Mary Fendley, of Cleveland,GA, Marvin Fendley, of Mitchell, GA, Raymond and Estelle Fendley, of Thompson, GA, Melvin and Mary Ann Fendley, of Jackson; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Jesse Fendley will be held at 3:30 PM Sunday, December 23, 2012 at Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Rev. Ken Smith officiating. Interment will be at East Lawn Memorial Gardens in McDonough. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 - 8:00 PM Friday and Saturday evenings.
