Mr. Fred T. White, age 73, of Jackson, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2014. Fred was born on Saturday, May 31, 1941 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Malcolm Arthur White and the late Marie Allen White. He is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Audrey White; brother, Alvin White; sisters, Jane Coleman and Jean Crane. Fred was a retired truck driver. He was of the Baptist faith. Fred is survived by his wife of 53 years, Betty White; children and their spouses, Gail Bass, Marsana and Danny Briscoe, Joe and Leslie White; grandchildren, Jason Bass, Jared Bass, Thomas Briscoe, Tara Briscoe Cline, Joey White, and Lauren White Hartman; several nieces and nephews and cousins. Funeral services for Mr. Fred T. White will be conducted on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Mr. Rudy Mangham, Reverend Rob Tinney and Pastor Stan Patterson officiating. Interment will follow in the Jackson City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Those who wish may sign the online guest registry at www.sherrell-westburyfh.com Sherrell-Westbury Funeral Home, 212 East College Street, Jackson, is serving the White family.
