Joseph Edward “Joe” Jump, Jr., age 54, of Jackson, GA, passed away Monday, October 6, 2014 at his residence. He was born on December 15, 1959 in Covington, KY to the late Joseph Edward Jump, Sr. and the late Brenda Joyce Beagle Jump. Joe was a truck driver and served in the United States Army. He is preceded in death by a son, Jacob Jump, and brother, James Jump. Joe is survived by his wife, Betty Edwards Jump of Jackson; 4 daughters, Alicia and Joshua Gentle of Jackson, Brittany and Mark Tallant of McDonough, Tiffany Nichols of Jackson, Angela Ogles of Jackson; son, Todd and Olivia Nichols of Jackson; 9 grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Ervin Bentley of Woodruff, NC; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Joe Jump, Jr. will be held at 12:00 noon Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at Abundant Life Assembly of God with Pastor Jeremiah Hosford officiating. Interment will be at the Jackson City Cemetery. His remains will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday evening.
