Henry Thomas Harper, age 93, of Forsyth, GA, passed away Friday, January 23, 2015 at Optum Hospice in Macon. He was born on Sunday, December 4, 1921 in Alapaha, GA to the late Thomas Harper and the late Laura Maude Childs Harper. He retired from Dundee Mills. Mr. Harper proudly served in the United States Army during World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Earl Parsons Harper, and two grandsons, Andy Harper and Joshua Thurston. Mr. Harper is survived by his children and their spouses, Henry Thomas Harper, Jr. and Mary Anne, Sandra Thurston and Kenneth, Patricia James and Paul, David Harper and Kathy; 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; brother, Walter Harper; several nieces and nephews. Grave side funeral services for Mr. Henry Harper will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, January 26, 2015 at Flovilla South Cemetery with Mr. Rudy L. Mangham officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully request donations be made to Optum Hospice Care, 115 Arkwright Landing, Macon, GA 31210 in memory of Mr. Harper.
