Obituary of Sue Washington

Mrs. Sue Potts Washington, age 96, of Jackson, GA, passed away Monday, March 2, 2015 at her residence. Mrs. Washington was born on Tuesday, October 15, 1918 in Covington, Georgia to the late John Potts and the late Bessie Vaughn Potts. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Allmon Washington. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Mrs. Washington was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Jackson. Mrs. Washington is survived by children and their spouses, Susan and Stanley McCart, Stanley and Amanda Washington, Janet Rizan; grandchildren, Mike and Angela McCart, Matt and Emily McCart, Alan Washington, Andy and Alicia Washington, Kristin Rizan; great-grandchildren, Madison, Ellie, Kayle, Gavin, and Brandt; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Sue Potts Washington will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 5, 2015 in the Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Reverend Lane Sanders officiating. Interment will follow in Worthville Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
