Mr. Freddy Paul McKenzie, age 77, of Jackson, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2015. He was born on Tuesday, November 9, 1937 in Summertown, Georgia to the late L. H. McKenzie and the late Mazie Willis McKenzie. He was a proud Veteran of the United States Navy. He enjoyed ministering to those in need. Mr. McKenzie is survived by his wife, Shirley McKenzie; children and their spouses, Dana and Greg Ellington, Donna McKenzie, Sheryl and Kirk Bare, Scott and Roxann McGee; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisiters, Della Keith, Joyce McCall, and June Butler; brother, Jimmy McKenzie; several nieces and nephews. Funerals services for Mr. Freddy Paul McKenzie will be held on Friday, May 29, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. in the Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Reverend Russ Taylor and Reverend Emanuel Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
