Obituary of Bert Kitchens

Life Legacy Mr. Bert Tammany Kitchens, Jr., age 79, of Jackson, passed away Thursday, June 4, 2015 at his residence. He was born on Saturday, August 31, 1935 to the late Bert Tammany Kitchens, Sr. and the late Sarah Frances Baxter Kitchens. Mr. Kitchens retired as produce supervisor with over 30 years of service with A & P Company. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed farming. Mr. Kitchens is survived by his sisters and brothers-in-law, Margaret and Ray Miller, Jean and Bobby Whitaker; several nieces and nephews, Lee Johnson, Lynn (Dink) Johnson, Lance Johnson, Allen Whitaker, David Whitaker, LaNae Boyd, and Lisa Whitaker; several great-nieces and great-nephews. Funeral services for Mr. Bert Kitchens will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 7, 2015 at Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Mr. Rudy L. Mangham officiating. Interment will follow in the Jackson City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday evening.
