Mrs. Sue Thaxton Moore, age 80, of Jackson, GA, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at Spalding Regional Medical Center. She was born on Monday, April 8, 1935 in Jackson, GA to the late Carl ClaudeThaxton and the late Eunice Viola Maddox Thaxton. Sue was a member of Towaliga Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her son, Rusty Huggins; brothers, Bobby Thaxton, Edgar Thaxton; sisters, Nellie Thaxton Hooten, Florence Thaxton Ward, Melba Thaxton Couch, and Annie Thaxton Johnson. Sue is survived by her husband, Jimmy Moore; children and their spouses, Laney Sheffield and Tommy, Lisa Curry Caldwell and Dewayne, Debbie Wilson and Mark; grandchildren, John Michael McClendon, T.J. Sheffield, Shane McClendon and Nicole, Jonathan Curry, Tyler Sheffield, Jessica Cook, JoHanna English, Skylar Curry, Andrea Lloyd, Perry Wilson, Carlie Wilson; 8 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Memorial services for Sue Moore will be held Sunday, July 5, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Towaliga Baptist Church with Reverend Jay Sanders and Mr. Rudy L. Mangham officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, July 3, 2015 evening.
