Obituary of Eugene Prosser

Mr. Eugene Letsworth “Gene” Prosser, age 77, of Milledgeville, GA, passed away Friday, August 28, 2015 at Abbey Hospice. Mr. Prosser was born on Saturday, May 7, 1938 in Newnan, Georgia to the late Roy Letsworth Prosser and the late Thelma Payton Prosser. Although born in Newnan, Gene was raised in Jackson. He was a graduate of the University of Georgia. His passions were UGA football and fishing. Gene was a Veteran of the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Summerell Prosser and his sister, Annette Prosser Mount. Gene was a constant gentleman, and was loved by all who knew him. Mr. Prosser is survived by his cousins, Tim and April Prosser, Randy and Gaye Prosser, Jerry and Hilda Prosser, Carol Ann and Steve Biggers, Priscilla and Bill Kelly, Gail and Jim Churchill, and other cousins. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Following the visitation, a graveside funeral service for Mr. Gene Prosser will be conducted at the Jackson City Cemetery with Reverend Frank Powers officiating.
