Obituary of Herman Evans

Mr. Herman Talmadge Evans, Sr., age 67, of Four Points Road, Jackson, Georgia, passed away Friday, October 16, 2015 at Spalding Regional Hospital after an extended medical illness. Herman was born on Sunday, July 25, 1948 in Dublin, Georgia to the late Joe Brown (J.B.) Evans and the late Willie Mae Hartley Evans. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, John Evans and Bobby Gene Evans; sister, Geraldine Evans; special nieces, Judy Fohey and Tammy Lumley. Herman was a long time Jackson resident. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Evans is survived by his wife, Carolyn Sue Evans; son, Talmadge Evans; daughter and son-in-law, Marcie and Randy Stephens; granddaughters, Cherish and Amber Stephens, Haley Hosey and her husband, Alex; brothers and sister-in-law, James and Barbara Evans, and Carl Henry Evans; sister, Arlene Hulett; mother-in-law, Irene Bramlett; in-laws, Junior and Marlyn Aldridge; several nieces and nephews, cousins, great friends and extended family. Funeral services for Herman Evans will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Monday, October 19, 2015 in the Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Mr. Rudy L. Mangham officiating. Interment will follow in the Jenkinsburg City Cemetery. Friends may visit the family on Sunday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
