Obituary of Katherine Sewell

Mrs. Katherine E. Van Wie “Kathy” Sewell, age 70, of Jackson, GA, passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at Spalding Regional Medical Center. She was born on Thursday, April 19, 1945 in Kenosha, WI to the late Robert F. Van Wie and the late Rita Mary Tribur Van Wie. She proudly served in the United States Army as an LPN during the Vietnam era. Kathy was a member of Rock Springs Church. She enjoyed collecting papers and loved taking care of her husband. Kathy is preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Renczkowski; and nephews, Ryan Daniel Van Wie and Scott Renczkowski. Kathy Sewell is survived by her husband, Alden Charles Sewell; brother, Daniel Van Wie; sister, Mariann Miller; niece and nephews, Matthew Miller, Shawna Jarmolych, David Renczkowski, and Michael Sewell; brother-in-law, Allen Sewell. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Saturday, November 21, 2015. Graveside services will be held Friday, December 11, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. in Rock Springs Church Cemetery with Dr. Benny Tate and Pastor Darryl Woodruff officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
