Mrs. Mary Lois Spencer Singley, age 79, of Jackson, passed away Monday, March 14, 2016 at Atlanta Medical Center. She was born on Thursday, July 23, 1936 in Stark, GA to the late Abraham George “A.G.” Spencer and the late Julia Bell Coleman Spencer. Mary Lois was a member of the Jackson First Baptist Church. She loved to cook, work in her yard, and going to yard sales. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Olin Singley and David Weigel; step-son, Steve Weigel; brother, Wendell Spencer; and sisters, Hueace Etheridge and Julia Frances Goodface. Mary Lois is survived by her step-children, Louise Williams and Linda Jenkins; brother and sister-in-law, Emory and Margaret Spencer; sisters and brother-in-law, Daftner Fincher, Joan and Ralph Barclay; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Lois Singley will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, March 17, 2016 at Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Pastor Keith Joseph and Mr. Rudy Mangham officiating. Interment will follow at Jackson City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday evening.
