Mrs. Minnie Lee Wagner Smith, age 84, of Monticello, GA, passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at Piedmont Henry Hospital. She was born on Friday, February 12, 1932 in Eatonton, GA to the late William Joe Wagner and the late Cinnie Lou Cindy Lynch Wagner. Mrs. Smith loved gardening, crocheting, cooking Sunday dinner, picking up eggs at the chicken house, raising animals, and fishing. She was a member of Union Hill United Methodist Church in Putman County. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Kerri Mincy; son-in-law, Keith Biles; brothers, JB Wagner, Roy Wagner, Charlie Wagner, William Wagner, Jessie Wagner; sisters, Maebell Evans and Louise Duckworth.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband of 60 years, Gene Smith; daughters and son-in-law, Nancy Biles, Linda Thompson, Kathy and Ronnie Mincy; grandchildren, Corey Biles, Shea Biles, Josh Biles, Dwayne Biles, Brandy Thompson, Jason Thompson, Ashley Stevenson, Kristy Villeda; 20 great-grandchildren; great-great-granddaughter, Tynleigh Biles; sisters, Ann Shirley, Cinnie Evans, Fannie Mae Hobbs, Sara Marsh, Mary Layson; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie Smith will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 25, 2016 at Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Dr. Randal Reese officiating. Interment will follow at Sandy Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening and other times at the home of Nancy Biles.
