Obituary of Regina Kidd
Please share a memory of Regina to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Regina Lynn Strickland Kidd, 72 died peacefully at her home in Jackson Georgia on July 26th with her children by her side after a diagnosis of cancer on July 23rd.
Regina was born on July 14, 1944 at Fort McPherson in Atlanta GA. She was the daughter of the late Raymond Ansley Strickland and Relma Moore Strickland. She was the wife of the late Doyle Edward Kidd Jr. Regina graduated from Jackson High School and went to Clayton State for Data Entry. Her and her family resided in Clayton County for 26 years. She retired from JC Penny’s Data Center in Forest Park after 25 years of service. After retiring Regina furthered her education to obtain her CNA and began her second career at St. Mary’s in Athens GA. Her and Edward moved to Hartwell GA for several years and then relocated back to Jackson GA were she could be closer to her children and father. She continued to work as a CNA at Spalding Regional in Griffin GA. It is after she left Spalding Regional that she found her dream job. Regina began working at The Yard Stop. She had a gift of making this world a more beautiful place. She could turn a bare spot in a yard into a beautiful landscape, worthy of a magazine picture. She found her true love of flowers, trees and her extended family there. She brought so much to so many in this community. She had heart for giving and helping friends and family in need and would give so much of herself never wanting anything. There was no greater love that Regina had than for her family and grandchildren.
Regina is survived by her children Lisa (David) Lambert of Mobile Alabama, Ginger(Jerry) Moats of Locust Grove Georgia, and Jason (Jodi) Kidd of Barnesville Georgia. Grandchildren; Misty (Scott) Plair, Lauren Holsenbeck, Jennifer (Joeseph) Lamb, Jeremy Moats, Hunter Moats, Lily Kidd, Layne Kidd and Gavin Lance. Great grandchildren; Addison Plair, Alaina Plair, Jherra Moats, Sarah Lamb, and Isabella Lamb.
