Gwendolyn Meredith, age 85, of Jonesboro, GA, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at her residence. She was born on January 9, 1928 in Jackson, GA to the late Clyde Norris and the late Fannie James Norris. Gwendolyn was a member of Second Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Elwood Meredith; daughter, Deborah Meredith; son, David Meredith; and brother, Ronald Norris. Gwendolyn is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Joy and Jim Colantoni, of Jonesboro, Wanda and Terry Kahler, of Jackson, Sandra and Gary Pline, of Jonesboro, Janice and Steve Bales, of Newnan; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; brother, Ted Norris, of TN, Funeral services for Gwendolyn Meredith will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, May 10, 2013 at Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Reverend Floyd Carmack, Reverend Gene Luke and Reverend Hans Hamm officiating. Interment will be at Pepperton Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Thursday evening.
