Mrs. Laura Bell Allen Cozzort, age 91, of Jackson, passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at Autumn Village 1. Mrs. Cozzort was born on Tuesday, August 11, 1925 in Rome, GA to the late Ernest and Bertha Daniels Allen. She was a volunteer at Westbury Auxiliary, lifetime member of the Eastern Star and past Grand Matron, Kennesaw Chapter 414. Mrs. Cozzort enjoyed gardening and had a green thumb. She loved the outdoors, traveling, and camping. Mrs. Cozzort loved to sew and design. She was a former member of Kennesaw First Baptist Church and present member of Macedonia Baptist Church. Mrs. Cozzort always did everything together with Mr. Cozzort. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Floyd Cozzort; granddaughter, Jackie Orser; and grandson, Christopher Mincey. Mrs. Bell Cozzort is survived by her children, Debra and George Templeton of Canton, GA, Angela and Peter Orser of Sarasota, FL; grandchildren, Christopher Templeton, Cathy Templeton, Kimberly Orser, Keith Orser, Kyle Orser, Angel Orser; 9 great-grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Harvey, Thelma Hutchinson, Connie Ruth Allen; and brother, Melvin Allen. Funeral services for Mrs. Bell Cozzort will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 30, 2016 at Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Dr. Rex Allen officiating. Interment will follow in the Georgia Memorial Park in Marietta. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening. Flowers will be accepted, however memorial donations may be made to Southern Grace Hospice, 384 Racetrack Road, McDonough, GA 30252.
