Mr. Walter Bruce Harper, age 62, of Jackson, GA, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Brightmoor Hospice. Bruce was born on Saturday, September 11, 1954 in Griffin, GA to the late Walter Steve Harper and the late Hazel James Harper. He was former owner of Jackson Flower Shop. Bruce was a member of Second Baptist Church where he was the music director for many years. He was preceded in death by his brother, Mike Parker.
Bruce is survived by his sister, Kim Harper; children, Angel Duke and Courtney Cato; uncles and aunts, Charles and Claudette Harper, Frank Harper, Faye Harper; and a large number of cousins.
A funeral service for Mr. Bruce Harper will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 7, 2017 at Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Mr. Rudy Mangham officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening. Those who wish may sign the online guest registry at www.sherrell-westburyfh.com
