Frances Louise Ortagus Konkle, of Gainesville, GA, passed away Saturday, July 14, 2012 in Gainsville. She was born December 20, 1942 in Miami, FL to the late William and Laura Elizabeth Sweeting Ortagus. Frances is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Bobby Myers, of Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law, Buddy and Angie Thompson, of Locust Grove; grandchildren, Tyler Martin, Drew Myers and Abby Myers; sister, Lillian Ackerman; brothers, Billy Ortagus, Jimmy Ortagus, Ricky Ortagus, Marshall Ortagus and Leslie Ortagus. She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Swann, and brother, Allen Ortagus. Grave side funeral services for Frances Konkle will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at Jenkinsburg City Cemetery with Billy Ortagus and Rev. John Sherrell officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 – 7 PM Monday evening. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 301 Kelly Dr., Suite 3, Peachtree City, GA 30269 in memory of Frances.
