Vera Jean Kerrison Wells, age 77, of Jenkinsburg, GA, passed away Thursday, January 3, 2013 at Westbury Medical Care Home. She was born June 14, 1935 in Edgerton, WI to the late Lester Alvin Hartzell and the late Alberta Anna Bellrichard Hartzell. She was retired from Smead Manufacturing and was a member of County Line Baptist Church where she sang in the choir. She enjoyed gardening, tending her flowers, cats and birds, and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Vera is preceded in death by her husbands, Wayne Edward Kerrison, who passed away October 22, 1985, and Oscar Eugene "Gene" Wells, who passed away September 24, 2012; 2 sisters, Marlene Nill and Lois Nill; and brother, Roger Hartzell. Vera is survived by children, David Kerrison, Deanna and Kenneth McIntyre, Jimmy Kerrison, Leanna and Billy Sims, Patty Combs, Robby Kerrison; 9 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters and brothers-in-law, Vonnie and Chuck DeZwarte, Mary Lou and Jim Whitrock, Linda and Larry Kufel; 3 brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard and Charlotte Hartzell, Donald and Joyce Hartzell, Lester and Barbara Hartzell, all of WI; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Vera Wells will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at County Line Baptist Church with Brother Gene Sellers officiating. Interment will be at Locust Grove City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Monday evening. Those who wish may sign the online guest registry at www.sherrell-westburyfh.com.
