Mr. Glenn Marion “Bunny” Atkinson, Sr., age 79, of Deer Creek Circle, Locust Grove, passed away Monday, February 22, 2010 at Westbury Medical Care Home in Jackson. Mr. Atkinson was born August 8, 1930. He was a self-employed truck driver and served in the National Guard. Mr. Glenn Atkinson is survived by his grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Dusty and Leslie Atkinson, of Locust Grove; two grandchildren, Emily and Anslie Atkinson, of Locust Grove; brother, Calvin Atkinson, of California; special friend, Sylvia Cook, of Jackson; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Grave side memorial services for Mr. Glenn “Bunny” Atkinson will be conducted at two p.m. Thursday, February 25, 2010 in the Jackson City Cemetery. Dr. Tom Drake will officiate. Friends may visit the family at the funeral home from six to eight p.m. Wednesday evening. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made to the Stark United Methodist Church for River of Life, 1097 Halls Bridge Road, Jackson, GA 30233.
