I only got to know Charlie for a couple of years playing golf in his group at Hickory Hills. I quickly became fond of him for his humor and quick wit! I only regret I did not get to know him sooner in my life...Those who did not know Charlie missed a very special person. May he rest in the eternal arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Kathy Watkins Marsilio -- I have such fond memories of Uncle Charlie. I will always remember so many fun times in Florida. July 4th festivities will always stand out as a special childhood memory. He is now with the Lord and his brothers and sister. I hope all of your special memories will bring you comfort. We love you.

Kathy, we were blessed to have our Dads with how family oriented they were. I also love those Florida vacations we all had together and the 4th will never be the same. We plan to keep the family reunion going and make "the best stew ever" each year in my Dad and his brothers' and sister's honor. We love and miss all of you.

Charlie was the last of the good guys, the last non micromanaging manager that I worked for. Those were the good old days in the elevator business. He will be greatly missed by me and all who worked with and for him. Condolences to Gean and his family.

Hit'em Long...yell FORE! Enjoy the game! On Saturday, April 4th, a "Tee Time" was set in Heaven by a Great Golfer from Jackson, GA. His name was "Charlie" Watkins - he was an avid golfer and the game was a big part of his life. We are going to miss our golf buddy and for a while we will wait to see him drive up at the Hickory Hills course. We always anticipated his coming. He was sort of the life of the party, you see, he would tell it like it is and you didn't have to ask for his opinion, he would give it to you anyway. Yep, he never held back what he wanted to say. Charlie was long and straight off the tee, and, of course, quick of wit.
Yes, we will miss "Charlie." "Ka Chewy" as you would say!!!
Farewell To A Golf Buddy!!!
I love you, Bobby Fountain

Bobby, my Dad Loved you guys and he couldn't stand it when he was not able to play. I was blessed to get to play with my Dad and you guys on occasion and loved the banter on the course and in the clubhouse. We definitely have a void in our lives now but I believe he is having a blast playing with his brothers again. God bless.

Charlie was a good friend of Ray’s and he enjoyed Charlie’s visits to the greenhouse where they would discuss all of the good old times. Sorry for your loss.

I remember Charlie as a hard worker, a fair and caring supervisor and a good friend. Charlie was a skilled elevator mechanic and a credit to our trade. Charlie was also a dedicated and skilled golfer. He loved the game. Rest in peace, Charlie. May the good Lord bless and comfort your family.

I am so glad that I had the honor meeting Charlie and playing golf with him. To me he was Mr. Wonderful, we had a lot of
laughs together. I know that he is with Jesus now, and we all pray to give the family peace and know that we will be praying for the entire family R.I.P. Mr. Wonderful.
