Valerie was a talented woman with a youthful spirit who cared deeply about others. She worked tirelessly for the causes she believed in. She and her sister spent a vacation with me in Nova Scotia several years ago and we had a wonderful time hiking and enjoying the Maritime foods and entertainment. I lost touch with her just after her illness and I am so sorry I didn't try harder to contact others and check on her. She was an active member of East Metro for Social Justice and she worked hard for The Newton Dems . She was my canvassing partner. The world will miss her light. Rest in power, my friend! My sincere condolences to her family. She loved you dearly!
