Obituary of Robert Taylor
Mr. Robert “Bob” Taylor, age 75, of Locust Grove, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2023.
Bob was born on Saturday, February 28, 1948, to the late Will Taylor and the late Jane Caldwell Taylor. Bob was Scottish and served in Her Majesty’s Royal Air Force. He became a United States citizen in 2005 and recited the Pledge of Allegiance the day after being sworn in on the Moby in the Morning radio show. Bob was very proud to be an American. He enjoyed driving eighteen wheelers, watching the Celtic Soccer Team in Scotland, and eating. He loved spending time with his family.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Arlene Taylor; children and their spouses, Debbie and Hadrian Sourdiffe, Kevin and Stacey Smith, Rhonda and Anthony Pesce; grandchildren, Erica and Allan Morrison, Jordan and Tabatha Fuhrman, Brooke and Andrew Bolden, Andrew Lewis, Dalton Smith, Dylan Lewis, Cameron Sourdiffe, and Carson Smith; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; special friends, Rosalyn and Robert Shaw and family; Malcolm and Jacqui Birch and family; and many more friends in the states and overseas.
A funeral service for Mr. Bob Taylor will be held on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at Jackson Church of the Nazarene, 1523 Hwy 16 E, Jackson, GA 30233, at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Steve Dudley and Pastor Greg Johns officiating. Interment will follow at Jackson City Cemetery with Pastor Jordan Fuhrman officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 12:00 P.M until 2:00 P.M. before the service at the church.
