Even though Charlie was my half-brother, we were very close in my high school years and he was in elementary school. We shared a bed for many years as our Dad struggled just to keep food on the table and a roof over our heads.
When I left for college and in the early years of my marriage, we still stayed in touch. Even after his first marriage, we kept in touch. He had two sons in his first marriage (Chris and Chad) and we prayed daily for their marriage to work out, but unfortunately it did not. We are so thankful he found Carol and was at peace with her in their 24 year marriage. We pray Charlie found God and turned his life over to HIM and we can rest assured he now is in HIS Loving Arms. We also pray Carol and her family can be in peace and comfort during this tough loss.
