Obituary of Lance Johnson

Mr. Herrell Lance Johnson, age 58, of Jackson, Georgia, passed away Friday, March 29, 2024.

Lance was born on Friday, December 3, 1965, in Covington, Georgia to the late Herschel Lee Johnson, Jr. and the late Margaret Shirley Kitchens Johnson Miller. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Herschel Lee Johnson, III. Lance attended Rock Springs Church and Relevant Church.  He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. kayaking, and working on cars. Lance loved water sports and being on the lake. Most of all he loved spending time with his family.

Lance is survived by his wife of 25 years, Cindy Martin Johnson; daughters and son-in-law, Amber and Josh Mattison, Ashley Johnson; grandchildren, Elijah Mattison, Scarlett Mattison; brother and sisters-in-law, Dink and Amanda Johnson, Susie Johnson; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services for Mr. Lance Johnson will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at the Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Mr. Rudy Mangham officiating. Interment will follow at Jackson City Cemetery. Family and friends may visit the family on Tuesday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Following the interment, friends and family will gather at 548 Joy Street, Jackson, Georgia. Any food deliveries can be made to this address as well.
