Q: How did you meet William?
A: I remember meeting Jerry&Betty as they introduced themselves as our family Deacon, we had just gotten Megan as a new member of our family and Betty and Jerrie welcome to her in the family with us. They heard she wanted a bike for Christmas and one night they showed up with a purple and pink bike Megan loved that bike We all quickly fell in love with the family Every Sunday at church we would get hugs and smiles from them along with jokes about our looks and age(you had to be there) I am going to miss Jerry dearly as I’m sure a lot of people will but rejoice knowing I’m going to see him again Betty you have an army of friends that are here for you remember we love you too Call!!! Mr. Jerry, was one of the finest men I have ever had the privilege of knowing. I remember the very first time we met some 20 plus years ago in a leadership Butts County meeting. Even though he and I were some 30 years apart in age, we hit it off immediately. His infectious personality and easy going demeanor, made me feel like I had known him for years. His good humor and southern charm made you just want to visit with him for hours. Mr. Jerry loved people and he showed it in everything that he did in life. Mrs. Betty, I hope you know how much Jan and I love you both and are so sorry for you and your family. Jerry was a wonderful man that will be truly missed. Prayers to you all.
Love ,
Jan and Burt Jones
