I worked with Clay when I first went on Fire dept. September 1966 with engine company number 9 which was stationed at #5 on central ave. they were building a new station #9 in Adamsville at that time. last contact with Clay was May 2008. My heart too is broken cause Clay was one of the nicest men I've ever known. He and Cheryl are my dearest friends and I always enjoyed being with them -- he always had the funniest stories and funny jokes!!! He will be missed. My prayers are with you all for peace and comfort in the days ahead. Love to you all.
